Adsorption Properties of Waste Building Sludge for Environmental Protection

Waste building sludge (WBS) originating in the production of concrete prestressed poles (CSW) and technical stone (TSW) used original Fe-modified forms (CSWFe, TSWFe) was tested as an environmentally friendly cheap sorbent selected cations (Cd2+, Pb2+, Cs+) anions (AsO43?, PO43?, CrO42?) from water. The experiments were performed with 0.1 0.5 mmol·L?1 model solutions a batch manner at laboratory temperature. Adsorption data fitted Langmuir model. adsorption (Pb2+ Cd2+) ran almost quantitatively (>97%) on both CSW TSW. Cesium (Cs+) TSW reached 80%, while case CSW, it ineffective. modification FeII (CSWFe improved their selectivity to by up 70%. PO43? AsO43? (>98%) modified CSWFe TSWFe also initial CrO42? effectively adsorbed (?80%) only. affinity ions terms capacity consumption declined order follows: Pb2+ ? Cd2+ >> Cs+ for > anions.
